Introduction

The REALlab Madrid is a research net in regional science integrated by people from Madrid tied to the European Union - Regional Economics Applications Laboratory (EU-REAL) (https://sites.google.com/view/eureal/home) and the Regional Economics Applications Laboratory (REAL) in the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA. Like REAL and EU-REAL, REALlab Madrid focuses on the development and use of analytical models for urban and regional forecasting and economic development.

If you are an advanced graduate student wanting to research in the fields of economics, geography, urban and regional planning, computer science and mathematics you are welcome at the REALlab Madrid which is part of the EU-REAL tied to the Regional Economics Applications Laboratory (REAL) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Professor Geoffrey J.D. Hewings, is one of the founders of REAL (UIUC), and served as its director until 2016.

Professor Sandy Dall'erba has been its director since 2016.
